What Alex Jones Doesn't Think was a False Flag Part 1

In a post on Facebook I asked if there are any violent acts that Alex Jones believes aren't false flags. There were only two incidents I found in my inquiry into this. (So far) One of them I found myself  and the other was found by another Facebook user.

Milo Yiannopoulos Loves Alex Jones... Like A lot

So I watched Milo Yiannopoulos interview Alex Jones which was posted to his YouTube channel.  I have a few thoughts and would like to point out some highlights about it.

Glenn Beck has Abandoned Conspiracy Theories

With talk show host Glenn Beck there is an unannounced, unnoticed and slow change that has happened since he started his conspiracy career in 2007. It's a very radical shift that has happened. It's so much so that it should be noticeable. It hasn't been. What could it be?
It's that Glenn Beck has abandoned his conspiracy brand. Since 2007 Glenn Beck pushed multiple conspiracy theories one after the another. He was my first influence when it came to conspiracy theories. Since then he has both retracted specific conspiracy theories and has abandoned pushing conspiracy theories all together... for the most part. Three specific examples of retraction are the North American Union, FEMA concentration camps, and the Boston marathon bombing. And all three of these he's made an obvious retraction or back track in one way or another.

Let's start with the North American Union. It's the idea that the United States, Canada, and Mexico will merge together to form an integrated continent with a currency called the Amero similar to the European Union. Beck repeatedly said that this was signed by all three country leaders and put into effect along with a NAFTA superhighway multiple football fields wide. Well it's been over eight years and no North American Union and no NAFTA superhighway sightings. How did he backtrack on this one? He never talked about it again.  The latest mention from him I could find was in his 2009 book Arguing with Idiots. It's only briefly mentioned.  If you believe the largest geopolitical transition in the world is happening and you don't talk about it for years, it would appear you don't believe in it anymore.

Another one is the FEMA concentration camps. Beck claimed  they were FEMA concentration camps all across United States and President Obama was building more. Then without explanation the same day he did a complete reversal.  Also weeks later he did a thorough debunking of the conspiracy theory. He also denied he ever made such an assertion about the existence of FEMA camps (he did).

Probably the biggest retraction and backtrack he's ever done was the Boston marathon bombing. After the bombing Glenn Beck repeatedly claimed that a Saudi national who attended the marathon as a spectator was involved in the bombing and was the money man.  Even after cooperation with the FBI and being cleared from having any involvement in the bombing, Beck continued to insist there was a cover-up and that he had inside information of this man being involved.  This led to a lawsuit in 2014 for defamation from the Saudi. In 2016, the lawsuit reached a settlement. No dollar amount has been disclosed and the terms and conditions reached in that lawsuit have not been revealed. This leads to speculation that Beck may have learned something from this experience. It may explain why he doesn't push conspiracy theories on a constant basis anymore.  I mean seriously. When was the last time you heard Beck push a conspiracy theory? I can't determine for sure when exactly he stopped doing it. But my best estimate is sometime in between 2015 and 2016.  It was right in the middle of his lawsuit debacle. Beck did however briefly mentioned his settlement in April 2017 and vaguely insisted he was right about the bombing. Beck made a lot of claims about the Saudi so it's difficult to say what specifically he was talking about.

Nowadays if you listen to Beck he's just your good old fashion conservative with somewhat an affinity for libertarianism. If you compare him to the Glenn Beck from 2 years ago and beyond that. He really does seem to be a changed man. I think its fair to say that Glenn Beck is now an ex conspiracy theorist. Welcome to the family Glenn.
